One only remembers that the Humanities, and specifically History, are important when perplexed witnesses the repetition of the errors of the past. That's why, knowing it becomes essential if what you want is to evolve as a society.
Books, films, exhibitions, conferences or trips have been some of the traditional ways we have chosen to get closer to it. Now, the possibility of immersing oneself (almost literally) in the History of Spain becomes a reality with the landing in our country of Puy du Fou, the theme park that has been around for years recreating historical eras in France through shows and sets for which to dedicate to walk.
In this case, the History of Spain will be the protagonist of the park that will open its doors on August 30 in Toledo. This adventure, which plans to be operational for 10 years , you will begin to take your first steps with a night show, The dream of Toledo , informs the company in a statement.
In total, 70 minutes of staging of the great milestones of our history from the Gothic Kings to the arrival of the railway. Thus, guided by María, a young laundress from the Tagus River, and the old Toledo water carrier, we will immerse ourselves in the kingdom of Recaredo, experience the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa, or witness the discovery of America in a journey of 1,500 years.
The scripts, sets, soundtracks and special effects have been conceived for the occasion, ensuring the originality of this sound and light show.
With capacity for 4,000 spectators, During 2019, 15 functions will be held which will take place on August 30 and 31; September 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28; and October 5, 11, 12, 19 and 26. The price per person amounts to between 24 and 31 euros and tickets can be purchased through its website, at the office located at number 9 of the Carlos V slope, in Toledo; or by phone (925.63.01.35) .

In addition, to accompany this show, a El Arrabal, a restaurant area which, taking the form of a medieval market, will display its stalls under large canvases, where its merchants will delight the attendees with different food options, both fast and traditional.
Later, until 2028, Puy du Fou plans to create three new daytime shows in 2023, 2025 and 2028.
The opening of the park itself will be in 2021. It is 30 hectares of land in the middle of nature, where three towns will be created: one medieval Castilian with restaurants, shops and artisans; a Moorish camps and the village of artisans.
Also, the development of four daily shows is planned (three indoors and one outdoors) with a capacity for between 2,000 and 4,000 spectators per performance and a duration of about 30 minutes per performance.
