Beleeza, the first açaí bar in Madrid
"In Brazil, the açaí is a cult”, says Nuria, one of the four founding partners of Beleeza, a brand with which they imported this Brazilian fruit a year ago and with which they now have opened the first açaí bar in Madrid, that is to say, the first place where you can only and only take açaí.

But what is açaí? The açaí is the fruit of a palm tree that grows in humid climates, and is widely found in the jungle in northern Brazil, in the state of Pará. There, they climb to the top of these palm trees and manually collect these fruits that are small, round and dark in color (which could resemble a blueberry) and from which the pulp is extracted. This frozen or dehydrated pulp and crushed into powder it is what is eaten in various forms: from smoothies, to mixed with water, with milk... “In Brazil, the classic recipe is with banana, water and açaí, although they eat it in many ways and at all times”, Nuria tells us. . And that is the objective they have for Spain.
“If you think about it, years ago, who ate sushi here? And now everyone eats sushi, why not try it with açaí?” she says. Because, furthermore, it is not only a fruit with a sonorous name, and It is a superfood full of healthy properties, they assure. “It has proteins (more than 1.5 eggs), antioxidants, vitamins and a high percentage of fiber (more than three kiwis)”, Nuria lists. "Not only is it good, but taking it also takes care of myself," she says, confessing that she can no longer do without a little açaí every morning.
In the store that they have opened in Madrid you can buy the product directly and take it home to throw it wherever and whenever you want; but also try their bowls, or the recipes that they have already designed or combine different bases (water or yogurt), seasonal fruits (from banana to mango), cereals and toppings according to your tastes. It can be taken at the local pick-up or ordered to go. And it can be both a breakfast and the perfect pre and post workout snack.
