The tents they are experiencing an extraordinary boom; As we said, this is the summer of national glamping. Yes, since Kampaoh -artificers, together with Teacampa, of these very particular tents that you see in the photo-, they prefer to get away from that term. "We do not sell luxury, glamor or exclusivity (this is why we avoid the term glamping). Kampaoh is camping, easy and beautiful . Or what is the same, the camping of a lifetime with an extra comfort", say those responsible.
It all started in 2016, when the company's founder, Salvador Lora, had to stay at** a campsite in Puerto Rico**, as there were no hotel rooms left. To his surprise, the place offered tents already set up and fully equipped . "He never thought that a few towels and a beach cooler could make him so happy," they recall from Kampaoh.
That experience was the seed of Kampaoh, which also offers tents in which, of course, towels and a beach cooler are provided. The idea is to immerse yourself in nature with comfort and without the need to carry anything beyond luggage.
The 'standard' stores of Kampaoh
"Stores have memory foam mattresses, bedding, pillows, towels, lighting , plugs, mosquito net, plates, glasses, cutlery... and outside, with a nice picnic area that allows the client to enjoy the outdoors to the fullest and reinforces the concept of community so present in a campsite", explain those responsible for Kampaoh to Traveler .es, assuring that in their accommodation it is a tradition to become friends with the neighbour.
In addition, in winter they 'dress' the stores to resist the cold in mountain campsites such as Sierra Nevada and Cazorla. Thus, each destination, in his opinion, offers different peculiarities: "We attach great importance to the animation for the little ones , and we try to offer free activities in all our campsites -although not this year, due to the pandemic-. We understand that camping is an ideal place to spend some family vacation ", they explain from the company.
Of course, the target audience of Kampaoh is not only that: its stores, with capacity for between two and six people, are also aimed at couples or groups of friends . Now, in addition, they have just added a new type of accommodation to their offer, Kampaoh UP, the particular 'cabin' that opens this article, born from the collaboration with Teacampa , "a Spanish company with a track record in the world of interior architecture and landscaping".
From the company they explain that the stores are entirely produced in Spain . "They are made entirely craft , using locally produced pine and chestnut wood". Inside, they have equipment similar to that of their usual stores: viscoelastic mattresses, sheets, pillows and duvets, towels, interior lighting ("with a switch on the wall, like the one at home!"), plugs, fan, coat rack, picnic area and electric refrigerator.
Kampaoh UP is available, for now, in three of the locations where the brand is present: Tarifa and Los Caños de Meca (Cádiz) and Isla Cristina (Huelva) . In addition to these two provinces, it is possible to find 'usual' Kampaoh stores in Córdoba, Málaga, Jaén and Granada, Girona and A Coruña.
